Number Thirty-Four
Read Three Books
(aka let’s get lost tonight, you could be my black Kate Moss tonight)
Here’s the thing. I’m an avid reader.
Well, I use to be.
I use to stay up and finish a book in one day — fully engrossed. I would never reach for my phone to see what was happening on social media — not until I finished.
But something happened a buncha years ago. And then all of a sudden I found myself struggling to finish any book. (I don’t know what that something was…yet). That didn’t stop me from buying a ton of books. But that’s for another day.
I missed being engrossed with a book. I missed the world building in my head. I missed finishing A book.
So I put it on my list.
I wanted to read three and ended up reading 5.
Classic Virgo.
I started with re-reading one of my favorite books Honeymoon with My Brother.
Then read the sequel to Call Me By Your Name: Find Me.
😭 Not what I expected but in a good way.
My Mom suggested I read Team Five in 2020 and who knew facts could be petty?! 😂
To prepare for the Percy Jackson Disney+ series, I decided to reread the first two books. Finishing the second one this morning.
And finally, on one of my flights this year I forgot a book. So I picked up Talking to Strangers. Which is hilarious cause I def did not want to talk to strangers. Nonetheless — fascinating read.
It was a struggle getting over the hump to finish these books. But…I’m glad I did.
I also read a ton of comics — but we don’t need to get super nerdy this early. ❤️
