I made a big girl decision two years ago today. And it took me years to finally do it. It’s the kind of decision you constantly talk with your friends about looking for — not just support — but confirmation.

This was such a big decision that two years later, those who love me still hear my doubts. But then I call my friend Alex and say my quiet thoughts out loud and she says without missing a beat, “it hasn’t even been two years, and look at what you’ve done.” ❤️

My decision has brought so many new amazing folks into my life, grown relationships with acquaintances to friends, fantastical experiences, and immeasurable growth. My God the growth.

I’m being vague for a reason — it doesn’t matter what change I made, but that I did it. And when I feel the most doubt, I have decided to stop, take stock, and be present.

If you haven’t seen me recently (pandemic or otherwise) I may look the same…but as my friend, Bonnie said to me while hiking, “You seem so much happier…” and you know what, I am.

Adulting can be scary, but once you unlock certain levels, my goodness… ❤️
